Delivery Information
So you have found the perfect piece of furniture from our collections, but want to know about the delivery procedure ? Here, we can answer a few questions you may have....
Where do you deliver to ?
All of our products can be delivered to mainland UK addresses - we do not deliver upholstered sofabeds and large items offshore (inc. Isle of Wight, Isle of Skye, Shetlands etc). Certain smaller items such as futons can be delivered offshore at an extra cost - please contact us before ordering to confirm the cost of this service.
The delivery lead time is shown on the product information pages - as we source products from a large number of suppliers, the lead time can vary widely from just a couple of days to 10 weeks depending on the item. Delivery time can be really split into 'in stock' and 'made to order' items...
Firstly, In Stock :
For smaller items such as futon sofabeds, these are delivered by carrier and can be delivered within 2 working days if held in stock. We will contact you to arrange a convenient date for delivery when we have received your order. Items delivered by carrier are delivered between 9am and 5pm on the specified day - please note that we cannot be any more specific as to time, so please ensure someone is available to accept delivery at any time during the arranged day. This is important, as should the carrier attempt to deliver and to find the customer has 'just popped to the shops' or 'on the school run', they will leave an attempted delivery card, and this comes with a charge ! Failed deliveries will be charged to your account at £25, so please ensure you can accept delivery when agreed.
Larger upholstered items listed as In Stock will be delivered by a specialised delivery contractor. This generally takes around 2 - 3 weeks to schedule, although densely populated areas such as London can often be accomodated more quickly. Should you have an urgent deadline for delivery, please telephone us and we will attempt to accomodate your needs. Our logistics department will contact you to arrange a date for delivery as soon as a route has been scheduled in your part of the country.
Made to Order :
The same delivery procedure will apply to made to order items, however naturally the lead time will increase as reflected on our product information pages. If unsure, please telephone us and we can advise of the estimated delivery time for your product in your chosen fabric option.
Can you deliver into our loft conversion ???
Where we deliver into again depends on the method of delivery : Items delivered by carrier are delivered 'to your door' as these type of companies generally have this policy. Should the unit require to go into an upstairs room, carriers will not be able to help you with this, so please arrange to do this yourself.
With larger items delivered by our logistics department, for example upholstered 2 seater sofabeds, we can usually be more accomodating to have the unit delivered into your chosen room. However, please be aware of the following restrictions regarding large item delivery....
Large items do pose delivery personnel with quite a challenge, and naturally they wish to get the job right without any damage to premises or product. Our delivery policy on large items is simply to deliver to your home. Wherever possible, the delivery team will will take the unit into your chosen room, however please note that this is at their discretion, and if in their opinion the staircase is too narrow, the door gap to small, etc, they will not risk damaging your product or your home by forcing the item where it will not fit ! In these cases, your product will be left for you to arrange manouvering the item yourself. Many of our sofabeds have the ability to remove the arms to further dismantle the unit - kindly note that this is not something that the delivery team are expected to do but we can always offer telephone advise on such subjects.
